For me, theater and acting were never merely an academic pursuit or a career; they were a passion, a canvas through which I could express myself.

My name is Wasof Alkhuwaylidi, an actor and TV director.

Growing up, the allure of theater and acting captivated me deeply. I joined the Civil Theatre Group and later found a breakthrough with the "Al Emara" series, propelling my career and paving the way for diverse productions.

However, talent alone couldn't sustain my artistic journey; discipline and training were crucial. The unwavering support from family and seasoned artists boosted my confidence, guiding me through a field often viewed as seasonal and superfluous in Libya.

Interruptions in acting left me disheartened, particularly due to internal conflicts stifling artistic progress. The nation's theatrical activities and celebrations came to a halt, urging many talents to abandon their craft. This posed a significant challenge, as an actor's vibrancy wanes without acting, akin to a machine gathering rust when left idle.

Despite formidable obstacles, my passion for theater and acting endured. A major hurdle was the Libyan community's failure to recognize its significance, overlooking its potential as an educational tool, a source of historical inspiration, and a means to spotlight critical social causes. Encouraging future generations to study and engage in this domain seemed overlooked.
